My idea shot from a street corner in Brooklyn all the way to Madonna’s chest in Paris.
Subsequently, my work has been featured “Vice”, “Maxim”, “Man of the World” , “Arthur” and “The Face”. I'm the Editor of “Animals” Magazine. Further, I’ve collaborated with Directors to write two award winning films.
Whether you are a brand, a magazine or a film in need of punching up let me bring my momentum to work for you.

In 1996 I printed the words “Defend” and “Brooklyn” on a T shirt accompanied by the silhouette of an AK-47. I didn't do this because I'm a gun nut and I'm not from Brooklyn. I did it because I knew the crowd getting off the L train would buy revolutionary iconography tempered with nebulous intent.
And, lo, the crowd dug into their pockets and paid. And they paid and paid.
What I didn’t know is that printing the word “Defend” over the name of any city on a T shirt makes money, no matter what, the world over, for anyone. A fad was born. Men of low character in places like Paris and New Orleans paid me the sincere flattery of stealing my idea. I used greed and inherent jingoism to spread my contagion until it arrived on Madonna.
This process hipped me to the intricacies of international copyright laws, the power of moment, and the fact that people need to brand themselves. It also got me into writing for magazines and movies.
That's right, I bootstrapped a slogan all the way up to the Writer’s Guild.
I don't just believe in zeitgiest, I live off it. I've exploited the collective unconscious for sweet, sweet profit. And I need to do it again.
